Happy New Years everyone! I hope today is the start of a newly (or continued) productive you! I just wanted to do a quick post about slimming down!
Before I go any further I want to assure you that this is NOT a paid sponsorship and the words and opinions I have on this product are my own, yadda yadda yadda! Alrighty! Let's get started class! So recently I dropped a lot of lbs, and some people have been asking me how the heck I accomplished this. The god honest truth is I started WATCHING what I was EATING, and I sorta slowed that umpteenth forkful into my mouth, put my spoon/shovel down on my hubcap-sized plate and realized I've been eating waaaayyyy more than I needed to.
So.... that was the problem. I knew I needed to learn restraint and portion controlling. I hate exercising so if you're a lazy kid like me then this plan is for you. I downloaded this app called My Fitness Pal. All you do is enter your current weight, height, etc. and your goal weight, and it'll tell you how many calories you should be eating daily. And, it actually worked.
And honestly, that is ALL I did. I didn't change where I ate, I didn't run a hundred miles, and I didn't suffer eating celery sticks and those styrofoam rice cracker things (although the caramel ones are da bomb!). I dropped about 20 lbs in about 1-2 months I think. I bought some lean cuisines, because they are cheap ($2-$4) and are actually pretty damn tasty (I like to replace the meat with my own foodie versions, and add my own sides and stuff, but you can do whatever you like).
The good thing about using MyFitnessPal and eating Lean Cuisine is that it takes all the guesswork out of it. I knew how many calories were in each plate of food, and knew to drink more water on a daily basis, and I knew when I went out to portion control. I've always been on the thin side though, just to be fair, so genetics and all that jazz play a part, but for the most part I really believe this simple system could work for anyone. So live your life, pick up your forks and dig in guys!
