I don't even feel the weekends anymore. It's like all the days run together. I'm juggling classes and projects with work and apartment hunting with everything else. Sometimes I just need to tell myself out loud to STOP. Slow down. Take a second to realize that the things I consider a priority might not be so urgent.
What's most important I keep telling myself is how I'm fueling my happiness in every moment. I know that might sound strange, but if I can just center myself amongst all the chaos then I feel happier and more stable. If I just learn to breathe, close my eyes and think about the direction I'm going in then I gain perspective. Because I've realized that moving 100 miles a minute does no one any good if I'm going in the wrong direction.
Have I told you guys what my dream is? Recently someone asked me what I'd like to do that'd truly make me happy. I thought about it for a while and said, "To travel the world immersing myself in every environment and capture each beautiful location through images, video, words and experiences. To know myself by knowing other cultures and places. And be able to syndicate out that content to magazines, online journals and travel media outlets to support myself."
That dream is now my life's compass.
