If you're anything like me (low maintenance, 15 mins late to everything, carefree spirit sorta person) then wearing jewelry can seem like a chore. When I'm rushing out the door I'll usually grab a few rings from my painted ceramic bowl and call it a day. That's why I was psyched to team up with Anjolee to guide the jewelry curious on their experimental journey into jewelry wearing!
Don't be shy! Take a peek at this list, you'll never think of jewelry the same again, especially when it comes to diamond engagement rings ! (if you're at the love level, I'm jelly lolz)
So, where do we begin? Jewelry, like everything else we wear is a reflection of who we are. You want this new personality piece to be an intentional choice and to make you feel good....and look good right?
1. FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
I have big hair so I don't usually wear any earrings, but I do love bracelets and rings! Find the place you'd like to accent, then throw some diamonds on that sucker.
2. FIND SOMETHING MEANINGFUL
Does rose gold remind you of your mother? Aquamarine your birthstone? Pick things that have meaning to you and you'll probably find yourself reaching for it more often.
3. TREAT YO'SELF
I like to follow the old Parks and Rec adage of the "Treat YoSelf Day." It's easy to focus and take care of everyone around you but make sure you're treating yourself too. You've earned it!
4. GIMME GOLD
Orrrrrr turn this into an opportunity to share what you like with someone else...someone who might buy it for you?
5. START SMALL
Jewelry can be intimidating in a lot of ways so try not to overwhelm yourself from the jump. Start with something small and see how it works. Test the waters then grow from there.

6. VIBING WITH YOUR STYLE
You might already know this but you'd be surprised by how easily people follow jewelry fads that clash with their looks. This one takes a little trial and error but ideally you want your jewelry to match the aesthetic of your look (i.e. minimalist pieces with a clean minimalist look)
Jewelry cost monies. If only we could buy all the things we want with monopoly dollars, alas, we are bound to earthly mechanics and it is not so. Now's the time to check your budget, Amazon price check and make sure you balance the need vs want angle of any jewelry purchase. (see #3 + #4 for more details)
8. NEW CHAPTERS
I'm a fan of rewarding your achievements. Did you just land a new job? Just graduate? Did you move forward in your life in some meaningful and positive way? Maybe it's time to reward yourself for the effort it took to get there. (different from sporadic treat yo'self days #3)
9. LEARN ABOUT YOU
Use this as an opportunity to learn something new about you. What you gravitate towards is an indicator of where you are in your life and what's important to you. You'll see that over time what you're constantly drawn to might shift and change (because we're constantly evolving!)
10. SO PRECIOUS
Sometimes it's the little things that can change the way we see the world. Taking the time to select works of art that we wear can reflect who we are, build our confidence and amplify your personality.
